People waiting at your table even when you're not yet finished!

I'm sorry but I wouldn't put up with that, I would just tell them very polielty that we aren't finished yet and when we are and if your still waiting then you can have our table. That is just rude. People these days just don't have the good sense the good Lord gave them or don't use the manners their mom taught them.

I think that is very annoying and rude of them to just stand there and wait while i am still eating my food... but i make it a point to take my time... they will not pressure me into eating my food fast... because i don't like that... and after finishing my food... i will make it a point againg to take a rest before i stand up... i was there first... so they would have to wait their turn...

i think that's absolutely rude but i'm okay with people who says excuse me and could they have my table after but if people are just standing there and giving me side glances, i really hate that too. they should be polite enough to ask.

yeah. it's really annoying at times but i already got kinda used to it. it happens like almost all the time especially when we go to fast-food chains on weekends. lol.

This may sound spiteful, but I'll get up and get another cup of beverage and sit right back down again. I refuse to jump up for anyone that's nervy enough to stand there like that.

If this situation happen to me and and if the place is too crowded then I wouldn't mind but if the situation is the other way around then i will be pissed of. I will stay longer on my seat so the person waiting will be irritated. Wahaha!!!

nothing upsets a person other than people staring at you while you eat and waiting in vain for you to finish. it's pressure! i experience this and it really sets me off at times.

when i was younger, i think i did this, because my classmates would do it. being in a group waiting for the next table, i wasn't aware that it's plain rude until the time that it happened to me (and still is happening to me).

i feel embarrassed when a number of individuals would stand next to your seat waiting for you to vacate the place. why don't you just poke me with a fork and ask me to leave, than subtly stand behind me and insinuate for me finish off my food right away. i'd appreciate that better. hehehe.

am not really easily pissed off with situations like this. what i usually do is, just ignore. if i know that am just sitting there for a more than the acceptable time, then i'd give the seat to the next customer. but if am in the middle of my meal, no way Jose am standing up.=)

Yes it canbe very irritating if someone is standing near your table and waiting for you to finish your meal and get up. Their eyes keep searching yours to see if you will order some more and keep sitting for a longer period. Each morsel you eat becomes dificult to digest. It is better not to go tosuch eating joints.
