Another 20...30....40...50 ...or perhaps 60 years...then what? The way we are exploiting the planet earth, do you think there will be any thing left after another 60 years? Is this the price of progress? Progress for self destruction? No oil,no minerals, soon we willhave no land too, as theseas willstart rising due to global warming. Today 1/45th is land soon it will be 1/10th. Where will we all go? A colony on the Moon or on Mars?

Hello,Mercuryman! The way we are exploiting the earth it is sure that one day everything would be exhausted,no minerals,no forests,no rain,no drinking water will be available then.So we should be cautious right from now and find out some alternative style of living so that the natural resources would be preserved for our future generation. If we go on exploiting the earth unabated we will soon bring an end to the earth.thanx.

You are ablolutely right. I think that is why scientists are trying to explore other planets. They are thinking seriously on the alternative ways to produce energy. I hope after 50 years or so, we will have explored other planets and made them habitable.
