Hi everyone! How many of us really take the time to take care of our feet? Since these will carry the entire weight of the body throughout a lifetime, we need to give those tender footsies the attention they deserve. Men and women must take some time in taking care of their feet but I think women needs to do it more often cause we sometimes wear sandals and have our feet exposed to dirt. Though I don't go to parlors to have my feet pedicured or foot spa, I believe my feet are clean enough for everyone to see. I clean it everyday when I take a bath. I bought some brush for cleaning the toe nails and scrubbing the instep especially the heels cause callous tend to build up sometimes. I also apply foot lotion to smoothen and soften the skin. The shoes that we wear are also important for our feet. We should consider first the comfort before the style. We should also start taking care of our kid's feet. Many adult foot ailments originate in childhood. Immediate medical attention and regular foot care can lessen foot problems later in life. So what about you - how do you take care of your feet? Do you go to foot spas and parlors or clean them yourself? What about your child - do you take the time to inspect your kids feet? How do you choose the shoes that's perfect for your feet?

I used to have everything that I need at home to give myself a pedicure. My feet are always clean. I always keep them painted no matter what. The only problem I'm having with them now, is that they're starting to swell along with my ankles, and sometimes they hurt so bad when I walk on them. Since I'm expecting, it's been a little harder for me to do my pedicures, but I still do them. I refuse to pay some odd lady my money for something that I can do just as good at home.

Hi! We actually think the same about paying someone for simple things like cleaning our feet when we can do it by ourselves. Besides, its also one way of saving money. I'm also sorry to hear about your feet swelling. If I may ask, is that a sign of artrities or rheumatism?

Hmmm.. Maybe I'll try to have my feet massaged by someone else Harder force and strength can give best results not like when I do it on my own. Keep posting!

You have varicose veins? Why don't you try raising your feet after walking or when you arrive home to give it a rest. It would be much better if you do it at nights while sleeping. Raising your legs or feet can help the blood flow properly and relieve pain and the swelling. Keep posting!

Hi there my friend. I think the feet is one of the parts that we neglect just because it rarely hurts and we don't see it all the time. I take care of my feet by wearing thick socks when I go to the gym. There are socks in the department stores with extra cushion on the heels which I love wearing to the gym. Aside from this, I get a pedicure once in a while. I know it will only make my feet look better, but h well. It seems like a well-deserved treat! I'd love to get a foot massage as well but those can be quite expensive if I do it once a week. When it comes to shoes, I either buy one that's trendy and cheap or classic and expensive. Either way, I always check for comfort. If it's not comfortable then I won't buy it no matter how cheap it is!

Hi! There are also socks available in the market that can eliminate bad smell of the feet. It's a bit expensive but worth it. My brother has a pair and he says its effective and comfortable. Thanks for sharing!

Oh you're diabetic, I see. Well you really have to take care of your feet. Actually not just your feet but your whole body I think cause you have a slow healing process and its dangerous for you to get wounded. I know cause I have relatives who are diabetic too. Take care of yourself!

Yes, I do take care of my feet and it is necessary to do so since it is the most abuse part of our body. I have a regular appointment with pedicurist since I really want to take care of my feet. Also, we must pamper it because we cannot go anywhere else without the help of out feet. Aside from pedicure, I also massage my feet to keep the blood flowing smoothly.

Yeah I agree with you. Our feet is the most abuse part of our body and we should take care of it cause it's the only we can show our appreciation for it. Massaging the feet is a nice way of relaxing it. Sometimes when I'm watching TV I try to massage my feet. I think it has become a habit to me. Thanks for sharing!

I like my feet clean and pretty. And I try to always make sure my toenails are prettily painted. I have less time now as compared to before I got married. But From time to time, I still scrub my feet. Clean the nails. Paint it with beautiful colours. I like pretty shoes too. I have a cupboard full of shoes. Most of the time i wore flat shoes. But if I go dinners/ parties, i will put on heel. I cannot stand walking around with high heels for too long.

Hi! I find painted toenails cute. But I don't paint my toenails. I'm not use to it but I like seeing other girls having painted toenails. My toenails are so tiny too and it won't look pretty painting them. I also wear prefer flat shoes. Their more comfortable for me and I like to walk with ease. Most of the time I wear flip flops. I like my feet to have more space when walking. The only disadvantage is that it gets dirty more often. Well I just wash once I get home. Have a nice day!

I've never given much thought as to how I take care of my feet. I do keep it clean. I wash it everyday and make sure it's dry, even the area between the tootsies... I like my toenails cut and I haven't had them for a while. I can't remember the last time I paid someone to give me a pedicure but I always enjoyed when I used to do that. I massage my feet every now and then and always put some foot lotion on. I've also haven't been wearing heels. I've just been used to wearing flats that a month ago, when I tried on a pair of high heels, I had trouble staying up.

Hi! I also like my toenails cut. I think its look cleaner that way but I have never gone to a parlor to have a pedicure. My aunt who owns a parlor advised me not to have my cuticles trimmed cause once I have them pedicured, I'd have to do it on a regular basis cause the cuticles will only grow back and become hardened. So I only do the cleaning myself. Thanks for sharing!

I like taking care of my footsies as well. I like looking at them clean and smooth. Others do too so I make sure they are. I go to a salon once a week for the professional manicure and pedicure or I sometimes go for a home service. But I also make sure my feet is well taken care of by brushing it when in a shower and then applying petroleum jelly after. I don't have kids yet so I have all the time to take care of my own footsies, even have them massaged once in a while, especially that I love wearing my 2-3 inches heels.

I have read in a magazine that to make the feet smooth, apply petroleum jelly and then wear socks to cover the feet overnight. I don't if it works but I think petroleum jellies is much safer to use on our feet. It doesn't have perfume that might make the feet smell not nice when it perspires. Keep posting!
