There are several urban legend associated with KY. One is about how Co. Sanders left millions of dollars of his KFC fortune to the Ku Klux Klan. A headless woman is suppose to haunt the grounds of Iroqouis park in Louisville with her wrists slit screaming help me help me. There's the Pope Lick Monster..half man half sheep that lures people with his gaze to jump off of a 90 foot high train tressle in Jefferson County. Are there any famous urban legends where your from?

The most known urban legend around here is more from West Virginia. It is the Mothman Prophecy ideas and it is that people were seeing like a mothman before a horrible accident. If you have seen the movie it's pretty much the same as the story.

When I was a kid, there was this urban legend that used to scare me all the time. It was a story about a grass cutter that would go around the neighborhood looking for kids. When he caught any kid, he would cut the head and the head would be used at any construction site to make sure that the building would not collapse.
So, whenever I saw a grass cutter, where during those days, they used sickle to cut grass unlike the modern grass cutter that we have today, I would run for my life and normally I would run straight home without looking back. Can you imagine that there was a grass cutter with a shiny sickle and a big sack on his back that was probably full of heads. I just ran and ran!
When I grew up, I finally asked my mother what that grass cutter and cutting head was all about and she told me although there have been some cases but nothing was proven and most of the time, she used that to scare me so that I do not wonder far away from home and I guess it had worked well...
Cheers!

Haha...I don't meant to laugh but that is hilarious, though it probably wasn't for you when you were just a boy LOL...
That is pretty freaky and it would have freaked me out as well...
