I t normally happens with catholic, do you really need to confess your sins to your priest, aren't you worried that whatever you've said might be taken to the public, or should one confess to God alone, how do confession improves our life or it's our dialy routine life that once you sinned the procedure is same, same, same.

I never have confess my sins to a priest and never will because everyone on earth has sins and the only one that could forgive you for your sins is god not a priest. I only confess my self to god when I am praying and thank him for everything he has given me so far in life. I think that is the best way to talk about your sins directly to god because he is the only one that will forgive you not a priest or anybody else.

The idea of confession is one of the reasons I am nit Catholic. I could Never do it and there is nothing you can do to me to make me do it. I would rather go to hell than go to confession.I have great respect for people who can go but I can't. I have always felt that if I tell a priest or anyone else a secret , I would have to kill them so it wouldn't get out. And killing a priest is worse than not going to confession. It reminds me of a joke Bill Mahr would do, He said he is half catholic and half Jewish. He would take his lawyer to confession. He would say, " Forgive me father, I have sinned, you know Mr. Cohen?"
