Which Anti Virus you are using?  |

 several AV software available these days, I am also looking to stable with one anti virus before I like to know your views also so that I can select an good one for my laptop, I am looking for an anti virus which will not slow down my system but still remain effective against day to day trojan effects, anti phishing and various spywares and virus, please suggest me which one to use

I used to use the free version of AVG and for a long time had no problems. Then "BANG" I got a biggie and I was in a mess, AVG did not remove the problem.
I chased around a few forums and one suggested the Avast free version.
You have to remove any other antivirus programs before you install.
Having installed Avast successfully I did a scan and to my horror there were 46 trojan bugs that had not been found.
That was a few months ago now and it is always there in the background and I have had no problems since.

 lordwarwizard (10397) | 1 year ago |  AVG has messed itself up recently and I have been having corrupted ctf file and false positive issues so I am liking it less and less.
If I can find and be convinced of an at least equivalent free alternative, I would think I would be quite inclined to switch.

3.  g3n3j0rd (528) | 1 year ago |  If you're willing to spend some money, I would advise you to use Norton or es/et aka NOD32. NOD32 don't take too much space and is very fast. However, there are others that are free and the ones I like are Avast and AVG. For Avast, you have to register the free version and you will be given a product key as you register it. Cheers!

| 8. orniazhar (53) | 1 year ago |  Now a days, Only a good Anti Virus program does not ensure your security. You also need Anti Spyware and firewall program. So I suggest my client to use Zone Alarm Security Suite. Its a Firewall program with built in AntiVirus And Anti Spyware. I'm using Zone Alarm Security Suite for last three years. I'm Happy with that.
Kasparsky and Mcafee also a good Anti Virus program but without a firewall, its impossible to ensure your security.

9.  prplrust (492) | 1 year ago |  I tried Norton but the one time it let a bug in, I got rid of it. My husband still uses it on his computer but I will not go back to Norton. I use Trend Micro Internet Security. While doing my PTC sites, it popped up a few times to warn me about things. So I recommend Trend Micro.
