 several AV software available these days, I am also looking to stable with one anti virus before I like to know your views also so that I can select an good one for my laptop, I am looking for an anti virus which will not slow down my system but still remain effective against day to day trojan effects, anti phishing and various spywares and virus, please suggest me which one to use

I also have SpyBot, Ad-Aware & used to have Norton. The AVG out-performed them all.

| 22. lexus54 (2665) | 1 year ago |  I used to use Norton Antivirus software, but I am not keen to pay for licence, so I've switched to the AVG Free Edition. I also use SuperAntiSpyware as well as Adaware software to catch spyware, adware and other malicious programs. They are all free also. So far, I am quite happy with these programs and how they are performing. They don't really use up much resources in my PC.

A great program and it doesn't slow the sytem down at all.
No problems with virusaes or adwares etc.
Not a cheap product though.
It runs about $65 to $70 USD.
