It's Been a Slice, Now Give Me Back The Knife.......

...........I've found a new cake to eat, drink and be merry with.
This is my first discussion in quite some time.
And frankly, as Sparks, it will certainly be my very last.
I've been a member here on and off for quite awhile.
I've seen a lot of people come and go. I myself have been banned, trashed, hashed and mashed, and now all I want is cake!
During my current hiatus from here, I have surfed nearly every day, and clicked on the links to discussions here sent to me by friends, some of which I've responded to and some of which I haven't.
Now, I'm no longer interested in coming here. Those of you that have my email, please continue to meet and greet me that way.
For those who do want it, just ask. For the rest of you - stay here, play your part, and keep your world as narrow as you feel comfortable with.
In being 'absent' from here, I've found other websites that don't have trolls and moles and petty little minds that get their kicks out of 'gang clicks' to reduce ratings of users; where outright lies, accusations, insinuations and frustrations are not tolerated. In fact these things hardly ever show up because the members have too much respect for themselves and others to bring such nonsense to the site.
I have never denied, and continue to believe, that mylot is one of the most user friendly sites on the net. In some ways I will miss it.
However, like all social groups, there are mind sets that defy logic, integrity, humor and fair play. Mylot seems to have attracted more than it's fair share.
I for one, have finally seen 'the light' of sound common sense, and I embrace the need for logic and living life without a carrying a grudge. Actually I've always been like that, but there is a certain seductiveness in the 'dark side' of human nature, and yes, being here has brought that out in me too. And I hate it.
I've made the decision to spend my time on sites that empower women, pay homage to originality and diverse opinion, that encourage creativity and humor, that pay me very well for being a mature, even if I am slightly crazy, valuable human being.
As one of my favorite people here says "Stand strong in your beliefs", to which I would add - "But be sure those beliefs are valid and loving".
There are many here whom I will miss for their sense of balance, fair play and plain good humor. But they are few among the many, and I wish them only the best and long life here.
But believe me folks, there IS life and love and laughter and total fairness outside the lot on the net.
I know that a lot of you also belong to other 'paying sites', but you have to admit that the lot is the greater addiction.
SO, are YOU willing to broaden your horizons, or are you caught in the mylot net of pennies earned for every post, and the friendships developed that you take such comfort in, when the reality is, if push came to shove, your 'friends list' would dwindle down to just a few should you abandon the lot completely...?
