How to get Today's Top discussion ?

I also have the same question.I always see some discussions on Today's top list have less response compared to others which are not on it.So how do the rating work out?Does it depend on the number of people who have read it or the rating of the mylotter who writes it or something else?Is there anyone who can help us with this question?

I think the succession with which you get the responses is the criterion to enter todays top discussions. That is if you recieve three responses in a span of one minute it is displayed in top discussions page. But real top discussions are the ones sent through mylot digest.
