Guilty by association?

I'm happy about how this worked out for you. Sometimes I think people really are brought in to our lives for a reason, as Charlette was for you.

I can't relate to this exactly, but I do have a friend, one of my best friends who I have known for almost 20 years, that used to be a rival in a different way. My ex-boyfriend, the love of my life, left me for her.

We all worked together and he fell in love with her while dating me. We had mutual friends so we always had to see each other, at work, at parties, etc. I disliked her a lot for good reasons, but I had to be civil to her when at work. During social things, I just ignored her.

One night we bumped in to each other at the bathroom of a party we were both at. I don't know how we got to talking, but we did, and we both in our blabbering ending up finding out some really interesting things about my ex, who at this point was with her and had been for over a year. We both realized we'd been lied to and played against each other.

They broke shortly after that and she and I became friends and are still close to this day. She's like my little sister.

I do think we have to open our minds and our hearts to what all people have to offer, no matter what the circumstances are that brought them in to our lives.

Hi Tianna, Charlette sounds like a very loving, giving caring person and I am so pleased that she was therre for you when you were going through such a tough time, it just goes to show we should never judge anyone and take each person as we find them not by who they happen to be friends with eh! I know many different people from many diferent groups but I will not let one group influence my friendship with somewone from another as it is wrong to do so and not fair on the individual. Hi Tianna-am sorry this answer is so late...there was one friend I knew when I was young but we wern't that close but as the years went by I met her when I had just got married she became my best friend and now we have known each other for 39yrs..a lot of water has gone under the bridge throught hat time so cannot fit it all in here but now we only live a few miles apart and I am now divorced but my friend is now here on Mylot and is one of my referrals..it's amazing how life takes you in circles and then brings you to a special person whom you knew but so long back..brightest blessings littleowl
