Should parents used punishment to thier children?

Many parents use physical punishment to discipline their children. Other prefer to use different methods to reward good behavior and punish misbehavior.

It should be a reward and punishment. other parents on punish there children without explaining to them why they are being punished. it should be that the parents will explaine to thier child what is the reason why they are being punished so that they will not do the same thing again because they will know that their parents don't like what they did. A reward should follow like hugging, rubbing thier childrens head or any physical contact that will let the children know that thier parents love them thatt they don't them to do it again.
