How did you decide on your childrens names? Was it just a name that you liked or did you name them after someone? Do you have themes for naming your children? My sister has three children and they all have 7 letters in their first name and four letters in their middle name. Frannon Dale, Chelsey Rayn, Cheyann Skye. The other day she was talking about what she would name her next child if she has one and she was saying how she had to keep the theme. With my kids I just wanted their names to be unique. I have a very common name and I hate it. My oldest sons name is Sahil because it is an Indian name that I liked and my husband is from India. His middle name is Alden just because i liked it. My youngest sons name is Hans, after my husbands father. His middle name is Braxton, again because it is a unique name that I liked.

i like unique names also. but named my kids after family. luckily, some had unique names. Ralph, my oldest was named after his father, not unique, but adding 3rd to it did make it a little.
Darlene, after my favorite cousin, a little unique, pretty. Robert, ordinary, hubby made me name after step father. Vincent, not to ordinary, not unique, but one of my favorite actors was Vincent price
,but my most unique is Jaely my daughter named after great grandmother. a very old Irish name you dont hear every day.

i named my daughter as michfroi, froi is named after me, and mich because i want her name to be michelle but this is very common so i got mich from michelle then froi from my name which is froida and i named my son after his fathers name and mine also of course. i named him Cyr Jonfroi, i named him Cyr just to have his own name because Jonfroi is got from our name, his father name is Jonathan and his nick is Jon while me is froida whose nick is froi, so we got jonfroi when we put it together, cyr is the name i gave for him, so his nick is CJ...

We don't really have any traditions when it comes to naming our children. I just go with what I like. I have a Chandler Colin, Griffen Walker, Justice Victoria and a Millanah Devin, "Mimi". Mimi is the only one that was named after anyone. My husband chose her middle name. Devin is his best friend's name. Since it is unisex I went along with it. I would have chosen Aubrielle for her middle if it were solely up to me though.

Funny that you mention 'naming children'! I was watching Desperate Housewives yesterday and it was that episode about naming Suzanne's new baby boy after Delphino's grandad - Maynard
I like unique names too and I have done and will continue to do the same with my kids

I and hubby find a name for boys on the internet. As he was overseas he sent me list of boys name that he search and it's meaning then We choosen the named Zachary which means the God is remembered. I like the name as it's biblical and it's not too common on kids. I wanted to gave him two names but my hubby said it's too long and it might give difficulty to our baby to writed his name when he gets to school.
Happy posting.
