I believed he did. I was horrified when I realized that our chimney was bricked up! How could Santa get down that???
We had one fireplace in our house that had been bricked up long before my parents bought it. The house was built around 1900. When I was old enough to hear the story about Santa coming down chimneys, I started crying because Santa couldn't come into our house!
My mother explained it by telling me that Santa came in the front door when he couldn't get down the chimney. Whew! That worked for me!

We have no chimney in the Philippines but yes, for a time i believed in Santa. Now that it's my sister and my turn to be "Santa"to our kids, I find it really funny. I hope my daughter, she's two, will be as enthusiastic about Santa as I was all those years. And even if I already know that he didn't exist, I still "wrote" to him for the last time for my gift. LOL!

Yes we did believe that santa came down the chimney. I remember when I was 11 or so I started to doubt the whole story about santa and my grandfather being the best in the world went out and made the tracks from Santas sled so of course that gave me another year to believe. We were so innocent back in the 50's not at all like today.

I did believe in Santa when i was little but didn't believe that he came down the chimney due to the fact that we didn't have a chimney in the house where i grew up.
Our parents always told us that he rang the doorbell that was why my dad had to stay up late to let him in.
And i believed them until i was about 9.That was when i stopped believing in Santa.

When I was a kid I never believe that Santa Clause is real. Maybe it is real, but during the time when the real Santa was still alive. How can that be possible that Santa will come riding his reindeer on the atmosphere? So, I never believed it.
