many people have this fear and in the beginning they don't realize it as i was I'm pretty sure I have at least a mild form of it as I am afraid when I look down from heights, but it's not so serious that I couldn't look out from my window. I have climbed some decent mountains and my feelings have ranged from general discomfort to complete panic. The alarming thing was to discover that it's been getting worse recently and I have real difficulty climbing to places where I had no trouble years ago.
what about you have you experienced it? are you afraid of it?

Yeah, I'm fear of height too.
I don't dare to look down from a tall distance, even though I'm on the second floor.
But it takes a while to get used of the height, I think. I tried this before: When I was on 8th floor, of course, I didn't dare to look out from the window, or even go near to the window. But, after a few tries stepping forward to the window, I could overcome the fear. But of course, after awhile, if I don't make myself get used to it, I'll fear of the height again.

I have fear of heights in grade school This was after I fell from the mango tree in the garden. After that I don't climb trees anymore and go up tall buildings and if ever I go up like I had a class in college on the 4th floor, I dare not look down from the railings. I conquered my fear when I joined mountain climbing.
