What if your student fell in love with you?

We have a case here in our school... A student is sending loveletters to my co-teacher... We just laugh at first but the sending of letter happen again and again till this day.. I told my colleage to comfront the student... What will be your advice to to him?

that's weird. i've had my share of prof-admiration when i was in college but i did not send letters. probably that's just infatuation, it'll fade sooner or later. i'd agree with what the previous mylot user said---ignore.

Confronting the student will not help and may also worsen the matter and harm the student's studies.Since your colleauge is a teacher he can explain it to the student and that will surely help to solve the case..Many students have crush on their teachers and teachers need to handle them cautiously and maturedly so as not to hurt the students mind....

i think it will only make the issue big if your colleague will confront the student.why not ignore it? besides, i guess it's just some puppy love that will just go out of the blue later on. i also dont think its harmful on your colleagues part, that he/she is admired by a student. in fact, its flattering to have somebody young admire people your age. just let go and it will definitely come to an end.
