What is the key to make a long lasting relationship?

Every relationship is different as the two people involved are different. Because people engaging in a relationship also have different reasons. Personally I believe one good example of wonderful relationship is having an open communication with each partner to avoid misunderstandings. How about you? What are the things you can suggest to keep the relationship lasting?

I think it's accepting you both for what you are even your mistakes and faults, cause no one is perfect. It's not only you who should work it out but both of you. Being you and being him when your together. Respecting each other opinion and ideas, and growing together and learning from each other. Romance should always be there. Making life simple. alot more! Commitment. I think if you are truly committed you will work through all shortcomings that each of you have. You can get past all major hurdles and mistakes. You will be willing to adjust, adapt, compromise and even change when necessary. Everything falls under commitment. That includes honesty, communication, etc.
