Music Today  

I read somewhere that there is a certain pattern that artists can adhere to that almost always guarantees them a hit. Not sure, since I'm not musical myself, what exactly that entails. But I know that a lot of times all the "new" songs seem to sound alike, especially hip hop. For example, the artist/producer, Lil Jon, - seems like all of his music sounds the same with that same "grunt" noise he makes in all of them. So tiresome! I, personally, listen to classic rock and roll the most. Not too much repetition there - hard to duplicate Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, and Guns and Roses, you know! Don't know of anyone alive today who can duplicate Slash!

i feel like a lot of music today is processed, especially what you hear on the radio. too many popular bands are in it for the money i believe. as long as they can make some cash chucking out an emotionally devoid record theyll do it. as far as predictability, i feel like the tastes of 'popular' music will always change with the times, and a lot of popular music will sound the same. my suggestion: make your own music!
