Foreclosure Stress - Don't Let it Get to You

I've learned a new malady today from the news and it's sad but I hope all of you that have homes are able to keep on top of things. This is an extreme case in point for homeowners - 'foreclosure stress'. Because times are hard at the moment and some owners are not able to pay the mortgage, some homes are taken away. The news zoomed in particular a local family who was not able to pay the price and so shot his wife and then himself. Neighbors are sad about this of course and it seems the broader picture is numerous families around the states are in the same situation. I haven't yet bought a home but from what I know, it's a great time only the taxes are high. How are you guys handling the economic shift and expenses in regard to your homes?
