The footsteps that was heard in the attic in our house....

I have a friend who is convinced her father walks around their old house as he had only a little use in one leg and just somtimes in their house where they still live they this distinctive walking sound with the same unusual clunk just like her late father...I think it could very well be someone there looking after you...

Sometimes, I get spooked out about my attic too. Actually the man who lived in my house before me committed suicide in the attic. When I first moved here before knowing about his dimiss, my cat used to go into my room and stand by my closet and cry for hours. I thought she was doing that because she did not like her new environment. Then I heard about the man, and understood what was going on with her, since the attic window is right above my closet. Everytime, I am on the outside of my house, I always find myself looking up at the attic window, since that is where he hung himself. He had the attic lights on, and was wearing no clothing and hung himself right in front of the window. The neighbors across the street said that they saw him hanging there.

I have no idea what is happening in your attic though.

You are very open, and you will see things but don't be afraid, just ask them what they want and also but those spirits that living in the attic, well should have told them to be quiet, after all they live there. Hugs

That is indeed very scarry. I can just imagine how freaked out you must have been about this. As for what it is I honestly can't tell you. I don't rule anything out though.

I understand how you feel since I also experienced that..I also remember one time when my roommate left her book in our living room and at 12 midnight decided to take a nap after studying, she woke up because someone was scanning her book in the living room and she is sure that she was the last person there since we were only 6 and everyone was in their room already, so, she checked their slowly and saw no one except the book! LOL!

When I was in high school, we lived in a house where if anyone was alone in the house (especially if we were in bedrooms with the door closed or in the bathroom), we would hear footsteps coming up the steps from the first floor to the second. Then we'd hear the door to the attic open (it squeaked) and footsteps to the attic. Our dog heard them too. He'd crouch down at the end of the upstairs hallway and bark towards the stairs.

Other things happened too, usually having to do with clean laundry. My mother would bring an entire load of laundry upstairs, leaving nothing in the dryer and taking care to not drop anything. But when she went to put the clothes away, there would always be something missing - usually socks and underwear. Later in the day, or the next morning, the missing socks, bras or underwear would be found somewhere it didn't belong - the kitchen table, an end table in the living room, even in the wrong person's room on their bed.

It happened to all of us, but mostly to my mom since she did most of the laundry. We thought it was the doggie, but he was never around when we carried the baskets up from the basement. And it usually only happened when the perons carrying the laundry was alone in the house.

Our doggie often barked at the wall, looking up as if he saw something. And when that happened, there was usually a "breeze" in the room.

When the only people left in the house were my youngest sister and my parents, my sister and my mom actually say that they finally saw our "ghost." He was an elderly man in jeans and a flannel shirt, but he wasn't a solid mass. More see-through.

When my sister came to spend summers with me in another state, it seems that the ghost came along with her. The same strange things happened in my apartment.

Then when she married and went to another state, the ghost seemed to follow her there as well.

Well, it might be that you are thinking too much of ghost because the Halloween is coming Seriously, I think there is big rat on your attic. Sometimes the movement of a rat seems like footsteps specially if they are fighting in there. Maybe there are several of them up. The attic is the perfect place to stay for rats. The more if there are lots of stuff there and it is not cleaned up. Just don't be afraid. The best thing for you to do is check your attic and be sure that you have someone with you when you do that.. so that you will not be sacred of what you will find.

You see, this entire universe is confined to one and only God! Every thing that we see and perceive is the expression of God, God & only God. Your suspected spirit in the discussion is also a part of God! So I think, you just light a new candle/ tradiional lamp used for prayer before God and pray to God with heart felt sympathy for the salvation of that spirit. This must solve the problem well by the grace of God! Thanks and hopes for solutions!

I had a cousin that was stalked by a ghost, and when the other occupants of the building told her who they thought the ghost was, she realized that the ghost had the same last name as she had. She had a conversation with the ghost the next time she encounter her and told her, her name and that they might be related and she said she didn't have anymore problems with the ghost.
Me on the other hand would have gotten the heck out of that place.
I hope you can get this situation settled with the spirit in the attic.
