Why do doors get so dirty?

Not sure why, but my doors are always getting dirty. There are little fingerprint smudges by the doorknobs on each door. Do you find that your doors or walls get dirty very easily? How often do you clean your doors or walls?

There is a product out now that cleans fingerprints very easily. It is called a Magic Eraser made by Mr. Clean. It is surely a miracle. All you have to do it wet it a little and rub those finger prints with it, and gone, like magic. I am a house cleaner by trade and I use them all of the time as they work so good. I use them to clean those finger prints off of the doors and walls. It even gets crayon off of the walls with little effort. And scuff marks off of the floor, wow, there is nothing better on the market.

My doors stay fairly clean. Until the grandkids visit that is. Those 2 boys are great at leaving handprints all over. I wash my walls maybe once a year if that. Doors etc get cleaned when I see the grime etc on them. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I think my own kid is the one responsible for leaving cookie and jam fingerprints everywhere. It looks like dirt and grime, but I'll bet it's chocolate chips!

I can't see well enough to tell whether or not my doors and walls are dirty Doorkknobs getting dirty is pretty obvious to me. A lot of people have their hands all over the average doorknob. Even our own hands may not be the tidiest when we touch a knob.

I feel like I am cleaning them almost every day! I had a door that went from the mud room to the garage and it was painted. By everyone opening it, the paint had scrape marks all over it from fingernails! I was so mad that I made my husband scrape all the paint off of the door so now it is just a metal door which gets tons and tons of fingerprints on it daily! I try to wash it off good once a week, but do see myself trying to rub off certain marks every day. It is so irratating! As for my walls, I don't think my kids can walk down the hallway without rubbing their hands on the wall. Another thing that irritates me. Every once in a while I will get out a Mr Clean magic eraser and start on the walls.

The outside part does because of the dirt that's in the air and the windy days don't help any, quite the contrary. The inside is because of dirty hands reaching for the door knob or pushing to close the door which leaves hand prints or smudges on the door. I'm forever cleaning my doors and door frames or door ways because I can't stand these ugly smudges
