Do You Have People Who Are Superstitious Around You ?

I am from India and here because of our Culture and traditins many of the people are supertitious. Since we have majority of people coming from Rural Areas , where there is lot of illeteracy together with strong beliefs in tradition and their strog convictions and beliefs, it is very common to see people with lot of superstitions. The people living in the urban areas also do have their roots traced back to rural areas and because of the family back ground and beeliefs these people are still superstitious inspite of becoming educated and adopting modern technology.Because of this type of people in the Society the people who are practicing witch craft, quacks, Priests and other people practicing occult arts are benefitted ! These are the ones to cure the people suffering from mental ailments! The situation was very pathetic but with change of times things are getting better! But inspite of all the modern things prevailing around in the rural areas it will take a lot of time for this people to ge t them selves changed.Do You have any such superstitious people around you ? In general what is the opinion about superstition in your Country ? Please Respond ! Thanks!

i think every country has their superstious people and their superstitions. most people say they are not but i think more are and just dont say.

Here in our country, superstitious are also an issue here especially people now at the age of 50 above.
My mother has many superstitious beliefs also, like you should not cut your nails when it nighttime and many to mention..but I do respect her for that..
Yes a big factor why there are some people who are superstitious because of the culture and tradition.
