Do you take medicine and still go for work in fever or you take the day off?

Hi Daffodil, I did go work as normal when having during younger days for I was scared that I couldn't finish the scheduled tasks as planned. I brought alone with me the medicine. But actually I felt sleepy after taken the tablets and couldn't concentrate on my work. It's really a waste of time sitting in the office and couldn't do my work nicely. Since then I prefer to have a complete rest at home and I find that I would recover very soon if having proper rest at home. posting and take care.

It depends on the level of my fever, actually. I don't usually get a fever but when I catch one, it would be terrible. When the fever is high and I can't get up I have to take the day off because even if I go to work it would be useless. It is a different situation when I am having a cold because I can still get up and go to work. Taking the day off on the other hand is sometimes boring because you are just sitting around doing nothing in your home. As long as you can do your job I think it is better that you go to work.

When the fever is very high, its obvious and the most wise thing to take leave, have medicine and rest at home.

I am someone who cintinues to work even when I am not well so although I don;t recall the last time I had a fever I am sure I would continue to work in this instance also. I live and work in the same building too so it is not too much of an effort to go back and forth from the office to home if I was feeling really weak. Thankfully I am not sick very often at all too!

If it's not that high of a fever (37.5C to 38C) I still go to work and drink medicine. I always go to the clinic so they would know what my condition is. If the fever stays for around 1 more hour and especially if it goes up even if I take some medicines, I'd just ask if I could be sent home and rest the next day. But most probably, I'd take the day off to go to my physician to have me checked. If all goes well and the fever goes down, it's business as usual. Take care!

Work pressures force us to ignore ailments and take preference so many times.
