Has this ever happened to you. I go into the store for not even 20 minutes, and when I come out there is a dent and huge white scratch on my almost brand new car. The person that did it didn't even bother to stay. That makes me so upset. Have you had a similar experience? What would you do?

Ouch. That sounds bad. I do not have a car, but many a times I found my bike thrown down when I cam back. Some miscreant even went to the extent of flattening the tyres. It was really irritating, but I couldn't find who did it. It's those immoral people who cannot take responsibilities for their mistakes. There's a dearth of parking space in India, and people try to cram their bikes in the smallest of places they can find and in doing so they sometimes push the other bikes over making them fall and break a part or two.

Many stores have security cameras in their parking lots. If you file a police report and since it is a crime perhaps the police or even you could ask the store if they have this available and then they might be able to see the car that did it. Otherwise you are just out of luck and all you can do is file the report and call your insurance. Your car will get fixed but you are stuck paying the deductible.

THAT IS SO RUDE! Did they leave any contact information? If not, I would ask if there is any security footage overlooking the parking lot of the store, and ask if they can get any information on it. If they do have footage, it will at least show what kind of vehicle did it, and where their vehicle would be damaged as a result of the collision.
