when i was about 8 or 9 me and my mates decided to escape from school one lunch time to go buy some sweets from the shop around the corner.
they all climbed this big iron gate u know the ones that u get on school fields, to get to the other side and ran off down the road.
as i was starting to climb down the other side of the gate, the gate started breaking, i lost my footing and i fell.
but i didnt crash to the ground, i sort of floated in slow motion to the ground and landed softly on my back.
the gate was falling on top of me so i put my hands out to protect myself as best as i could, and the gate landed softly on to my hands, and i just pushed it off me, then got up and ran off to find my friends.
i wasnt hurt, not even one scratch was on me.
i didnt think anything of the experience back then, but then i watched a program on gitv about guardian angels when i was about 17, then i realised that there must have been some intervention.
i like to think that my guardian angel guided my fall and protected me from the gate.
probs sounds silly but it definately happened and i can think of no other way to explain why i wasnt hurt that day.
has anyone else had any experiences with angels? id love to hear about it. its such a big passion of mines.

hi jarail...that is truly wonderful. i do believe there are angels around us. my mother told me of an experience she had before i was born. she was driving up a hill and all of a sudden she pulled to the side of the road and turned the car off. she wondered why she did it. then a big vehicle was coming down the hill on her side of the road. if her car wasn't pulled over there would have been a head-on collision. she knew it wasn't her that pulled over, but God looking out for her.

God never promised to make our lives smooth and perfect. we live in a fallen world and bad things will happen we all know. God promises to be with us and will always love us and is Faithful. He gives free will thus child abuse and other crimes sadly enough. and accidents that injure and kill are all because of the first sin that crashed the paradise of adam and eve. but those that love Jesus and do His will, He promises to work things out for good. He will never leave us and is moved and touched by our sorrow and pain. He will bring us through this life in victory. then we will live forever in Heaven where there will be no more pain, sorrow, dying, or need. ahhh that glorious day.

i understand what you are saying and i believe n god and angels but apparently im doomed for hell as i was never christened and also because i had my children out of wedlock.
this is what the owner of a local church told me on my first visit to it a few years ago.
if thats the case i think god needs to accept everyone, people make mistakes all the time but if god is as good as people make out i think he needs to accept all, not just select people. as long as they believe in him and try to do good in their life, then that should be enough.
just my view.
