c'mon, give us a break. it's not like those companies are struggling to make ends meet. they gross millions of pesos maybe even billions a day from text messages alone. text messaging as we all know is fast becoming the number 1 pastime of Filipinos. everything else have skyrocketed to heaven. texting has remained our outlet for fun and it's the most commonly used medium of communication in our country. to implement an increase is like adding a drop of acid on an open wound. they're earning so much from us and the least they could do is eased up the cost not increasing it. with competitions in the market, there has been a lot of promos going on like unlimited texting to attract more users. if giant networks like Smart and Globe would increase text fees then it's the chance for the small players to step up so they'd be able to gain more users. i'm a Smart user and there's one thing that i've been meaning to blurt out in public. this really baffles me as these networks like Smart is called a telecommunication company. they're supposed to be fast when it comes to anything that has something to do with communication but as it appears it's almost impossible to get through to their customer representatives. believe me, this has happened to me so many times before so it couldn't be just a coincidence or bad timing. you see, an electronic message will tell you to wait and puts you on hold and you'll be waiting forever. being able to talk to someone to air out our complains or inquire about something is as seldom as the proverbial blue moon...i hope Smart will do something about this so users with really important questions will be attended to immediately.

I am a very heavy texter!! So to solve all of my problems, i just buckled down and and purchased unlimited text messaging with my phonje plan. It has made things so much easier for me. And my phone bill at that......and you are right Text messaging is so so very popular among people in this generation because its just like another line of communication outside of just talking on the phone.
