If I were to delete a friend from my friend's list..........

i have deleted a few but i don't know if they were nitified or not. i have never been notified if i have been deleted, probably have been. i felt better deleteing them.

Hello rocketj1 I really don't know shall we give it a try and then we can be friends again after? I once deleted someone and didn't care if he knew or not because he copied my discussion within minutes of me starting it. I reported him and then deleted him!!

[i]Hi rocketj, They will not be notified about it but when they will check your profile, it will appear there "add as friend" and it means that they are not anymore in your list! I haven't tried deleting friends yet but with 500 plsu friends, I guess I need to start soon because some are inactive for so long! I do know if I was deleted by a friend, I also didn't exert any effort to know! I am only active to friends who are also active in my post![/i]

I do not think that they do know that they have been deleted from a list unless they actually went to send you a private message. I have deleted a few, yes, although they were only people that are never active on here, but other than that I just turn the notifications off.

I think every so often you have to clean out the friends list. Looking at mine, and I haven't been here that long, it is obvious to me that some were only here for a short time. You can tell how long they have been inactive by looking at their profile page. Somewhere on there you can see the last time they had been logged in. As my list gets longer and longer I eventually intend to kick those people off my list. I don't think they send a notification.

I deleted a friend from my list a few days ago, but for good reason, she has a very rude person with a nasty attitude. I've read a lot of her replies to other people's discussions and it really discussed me that no matter how nice you are to this person, she has to come with something mean and rude, and uncalled for.

I have deleted a few from my list. I didn't feel bad about it because I first sent them a PM after not hearing from them for several months. I later found out two had passed away, a family member answered my PM. I also had to delete two others just due to the content of their posts. I have no idea if thy're notified or not.

Actually I think you'd just disappear off their friends list. I've never gotten any kind of message saying someone deleted me so I don't think we do. I have never had any reason to delete a friend, so i really wouldnt know. But it is best to turn the notify to off, so as not to hurt that person. Im sure the person wont even notice, and even if he does, will not give it a second thought. Keep everyone happy, eh ?

Your cutting me off aren't you. You want to delete me? No really. I do this from time to time. I ussually wait until a person has gone inactive for about 3-4 months. Unless of coarse I have a really problem with the way they are responding to my messages. Then I just delete them. I always wondered if they were notified. I really am not sure.

I think turning the notify to off is the best thing to do as I am not very sure the person you are deleting will realize it or not and if the person do realize that will be real bad as your friend will be hurt which I guess you wont want unless the person has done something terrible..So just turn the notify off..
