In my country most of the girls maintain their virginity untill they get married. I wouldn't say all but mejority it's like that. Normally people get married because they love each other. Even if it's a proposal or a love match, men expects women to prove that they are virgins. You may feel that it's foolish but according to our culture it's like that. For your question, Yes I did maintain it for my husband. Not only me I will make sure that my daughters too will be the same.
