Which one better Dual core or Core2duo??

i m confussed abt which is the better processor...is it dual core or core 2 duo...on internet i found a mixed reviews which can't really clear my doubts...if anyone can describe me whts the differnce then plzz go ahead???thx in advance

Dual core means two core of so and so cache are there in Dual core. But when it comes to Core2Duo is two cores of daul caches. Hope you understand. Any way with the same cache number, core2duo is best. But the maximum speed in core2duo is 1.6 where in dual core it is 2.5, If you want to buy a one just go for 2.5Ghz dual core.
