My wife is very fond of eating left over food. I somehow do not like to eat left over food. I keep telling her that it is bad for health, so she does nto give it to me but herself eats it. Is it ok to eat left over food whic is a day old?

hello! Every day and every time we eat we have some left overs and that we preserve in the fridge.Such foods we eat in the next day or the next time. There is no harm in eating these foods. In these hard days who will like to throw away the left overs all the time.Thanx

Hi Mercuryman, Is it safe to eat leftover food? All will depends on how your wife kept the leftover food, she should refrigerated the fresh food as soon as possible within two hours after cooking, cause food which have been standing our for more than two hours will easily get contaminated and of cause eaten it will cause illness, so should be thrown away. The sooner you store leftovers, the better and safer. Remember to reheat leftovers to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.Gravies should be reheated to a rolling boil. Then there shouldn't be any problem eating leftover food.
