Be always a child, and never wish to grow up |
|
Do you ever think like, be always a child and never wish to grow up? I often think about the same. In our childhood we wanted to grow up as early as possible. One of our childhood dreams might be, grow up like our father/mother then joining in an office and earning something. I think each and every child has the same dream. But when we became an adult then only matured enough to understand that we lost the great and valuable time. I know that our childhood never returns to us but we can keep it in our mind.
What is your thinking? Do you want to be a child again?

1. 20021114476 (345) | 1 year ago | I think we just miss the old days when we are younger and with no problems whatsoever to think of. I think those easy days we once had really brings us again to wish we are young again. Maybe that when we think of an outlet, being a child again is the easiest way to once again pamper our way out of some problems.

worldbestwriter2008 (1251) | 1 year ago | When you are growing up the more you encounter more trials, defeats and triumphs in life. Unlike when we says, that if we remain to our age, all things will be alright for us. How i wish i could go back with those days when are still young.

Sreekala (1818) | 1 year ago | Both of you are talking about the advantages. If we remain a child we don't want to take any responsibilities. But I never meant it like that. I love the innocence of a child, his innocent smile, and their talks etc was in mind when I was posting the discussion. Thanks for pointing out the other side as well. Have a nice day to both of you.

2. Piscesmoon (2885) | 1 year ago | You are right that kids always want to grow up too fast. It is important to remember what being a kid is like so we can identify with the way our kids think and remember that childhood should be fun. No, I wouldn't want to be a child again. I think one reason kids want to grow up is so they can do what they want without adults always telling them what to do. I know I enjoy being my own boss and not being told what to do so, I will stick with adulthood.

Sreekala (1818) | 1 year ago | Don't worry you are not going to a kid any more. But does it mean that you don't like children? May be you don't like to depend anybody. I appreciate your honesty. Thanks and have a nice time to you.

Piscesmoon (2885) | 1 year ago | You got the wrong idea. I LOVE kids (especially my own 3) but I am certainly glad I am not one anymore. And it is not that I don't like to depend on anyone. It is that I don't like being bossed around. Big difference.

Sreekala (1818) | 1 year ago | I agree but the memories are good and we can be a child in heart. All are thinking that only grown ups have problems and miseries. Why? Thanks for your time and have a nice time to you.

4. Pose123 (5847) | 1 year ago | Hi sreekala, I guess most people feel like this on times. We miss the carefree days of childhood, but there are some who have to start working so young that they miss even these few years of freedom. I think often of my childhood and probably wish that I could relive some of it, but that is not unusual as one grows older. Blessings.

Sreekala (1818) | 1 year ago | Some kids have to work for their livelihood and hardly have they enjoyed life. The bitter part is that they often scolded and beat by the employers. They also grow and become an adult and I don't know what their thinking about their childhood is. I am sure they never like to remember about their childhood. I really feel sad on them. May GOD bless them too. Thanks for the response and have a nice time.

5. marshiemallows (876) | 1 year ago | sometimes, i wish to be like peter pan who never grows up but sad to say, that story can't happen in real life. lol. now, i just have to accept that we grow and age and soon we die. lol. all we could to is to enjoy our lives and refrain from doing things we soon would regret.

Sreekala (1818) | 1 year ago | I am sorry to say that I don't know the story. Can you share it please. Yes we are grown ups and can't be a child again. But we will be a child again, not physically but in character/nature. Have you heard that 6 years old and 60 years old have much comparison in their nature. But there is no guarantee that we will live up to that age (lol). Thanks for the response and have a nice time.

6. paid2write (4134) | 1 year ago | No I would not want to be a child again. I did not like being a child. I was not a happy child and it was not an easy time in my life.
I am much happier being older and having more knowledge and understanding of the world around me.
I can still enjoy doing the same things I enjoyed in childhood, like reading books and observing nature.
My life just keeps on getting better as I get older. I am only too happy to have left those childhood years far behind.

8. amlegend (787) | 1 year ago | it is true that i miss my childhood days but i can wish that i never grow older but i believe that there is no point in such wishes that be just useless and we all have our memories of our childhood days and we can find joy and happiness. sometimes when i walk on the road that i used to take on the way home from school, i imagine my bro and me having our school bags on the shoulder and chatting about how school was, then my feet by themselves slow down and there is a smile on my face and carry on. i won't like to be a child again and like Shakespeare's seven ages of man "all will have a second childhood" and that is when we grow old.so, just wait and we will have our childhood back and can enjoy it!! good luck

10. RhythmWalker1 (755) | 1 year ago | Sreekala, WOW! This is a great post. I'm a deep thinker and your words really woke up some things that make me what I am, thanks. There's a country music song that has a line in it "Old enough to know better, but still too young to care" Wade Hayes Even though I'm in my 50's, there are still times that I like to just shuck all the rules and "play" or get wild and crazy and just not care. I remember how I just couldn't wait to be sixteen, drive a car and get to date. Looking back on my life I see many things that I'd just love to go back in time and live again. I guess the fact that being an adult and facing the fact that we are responsible for us, now - is something that we all should hope we learned while we were growing up.

Sreekala (1818) | 1 year ago | Your name is so meaningful. I know may be it is not your real name but you have given a wonderful name. Ok coming to our topic, I understand you are 'old enough to know better' than me. I am happy to read your experiences when you were a kid. Thanks for sharing your wonderful feelings and have nice time. You are going to be a child again, of course in the second childhood that is at the age of 60. So please wait patiently, 10 more years there. All the best.
