My wife culture come from Norway, so The ubiquitous flattened potato bread from Norway!! My ancestors had to journey all the way to Wisconsin to conquer the lands even colder than Norway to carve out a new life for themselves to make certain I knew how to make the stuff!!
Made from milk, cream, butter, flour and 10 pounds of good Wisconsin potatoes, plus the strenght of two women strong enough to milk the cows and take out the laundry at the same time, it looks like a tortilla (or a napkin) and tastes like a bit like a buttered fried mashed potato.
No Christmas would be the same with out it.

Adobo, I think that dish has been a standing representation of Philippine dish abroad. If some one would say adobo it is right away a Filipino dish they are talking about. In fact they made this movie titled American adobo. as to why it define our culture, no idea, it is just the dish that came to my mind and remembered the movie.

I'm from Louisiana. We are really known for our cajun dishes such as dirty rice, gumbo, but especially crawfish. The best way to eat crawfish is boiled with red potatoes, mushrooms, corn, and onions

i'm from a south of china,
i think the noodle ,rice ,some special pancake and desserts can define the culture i came from.
just like sweet walnut cakes , the noodles with special seasame butter only could be seen here, and a dessert made of seasame ,nut ,guihua (a kind of flowers)and some other things.
what's more , the fish is also can define for the reason that the river flow through our city.
these are all taste so good!

I am a Malaysian and very proud of my dishes. I love spicy food, so for breakfast I have nasi lemak which is rice cooked with coconut milk and eaten with spicy anchovy gravy. For lunch I have rice with yellow curry and for dessert I have kueh which comes in many different flavour and names. But the most special dish that I had during festive seasons is the rendang. The best food ever.
