Did painter Bob Ross use drugs?  |

|  My father in law was just visiting with us and we got into a conversation about the tv shows my daughter watches. I was telling him about how she enjoys watching Mister Rogers Neighborhood which is a show my husband and I enjoyed as kids. My father in law started talking about Mister Rogers and went on to say "Yeah he was great with kids, but didn't they find out he did cocaine?". My husband and I were in disbelief so we had to research to see what we could find. But as we were on the topic of PBS shows hubby swears that he remembers something about painter Bob Ross being on drugs. So now I'm sitting here researching two of my favorite PBS personalities to see if they abused drugs back in the day. So far I'm happy because I haven't been able to find anything. So I'm coming to my fellow MyLotters to ask.
Did Bob Ross or Fred Rogers use drugs?

| |  Is Bob Ross the dude with the afro? I never heard about them doing drugs. I loved watching Mr. Rogers. If they did use drugs I could never think of them the same way.

| |  you know, if bob ross really did do drugs at that point in time, i dont think it would surprise me at all. he was a really cool weird guy. i could never take him really seriously as an adult when i was a kid, i always thought there was something odd about that guy. i liked his happy little trees and his happy little bushes.

| |  The biggest real piece of dirt on Mr. Rogers is once he forgot to change back into his outside shoes at the end of the show. My younger sister told me this when it happened. I didn't watch the show much. It was a bit to sappy for me. I was just above the target age.

you'd be surprised, i've heard rumors of bob ross being a heroin junkie, but no credible evidence exists. it shouldn't matter what drugs he did or did not do in his personal life. that was his business and should effect no ones opinion of this extremely talented, very happy (on his show at least) man
