I always thought that after reaching 1000 post i would be more experienced and respond to tons of discussions all day (when i have the free time) but it turns out that i feel the same as i did the second week since i joined here: there are days when i can answer quite a few discussions and there are others when i can barely give 2-3 responses. I think myLot is a great community with a wide variety of cultures but that what makes it boring at times.
What about you, do you feel more experienced after you reached a certain number of posts ?

Happy now elitess?
I most definitely feel that you become more experienced the more you interact with this site and other members, but becoming more proactive is a different thing altogether! We are always at the mercy of time for one; and we all face days where we seem to lack inspiration so you are not alone there. mylot is a constantly evolving ecosystem of users and the more we get involved the more we seem to find our own little niches and patterns. I am sure you will also the more you continue.

Hi elitess
No I dont think the No. of posts makes people more experienced, if anything it just means experienced with the Mylot 'interface'. There are people who I'd describe(my friend made the name up) as Lotbots- people who'll post anything to try and earn some money and not let their own personality shine through. there are others who are Notbots they dont care about the money(although it is nice reaching payout) and talk with passion, verve and humour! those are the ones that make Mylot interesting to me.
You've achieved a lot in the short time here, start to look a little deeper
have fun and keep 'Lottin

it might be worth checking T's & C's on discussion guidlines ... its always good to check the rules so you can avoid the 'Grim Deleter'

I don't think having more posts than the others makes you more experienced because the number of your posts don't necessarily define you as someone who is more experienced. I think what counts is that if you are able to help someone out through your posts, or if your posts makes enough sense, or simply if you learn anything at the end of the day from posting. But, good for you if you've already reached a number of post.. I commend you for that! But then again, the content of the post is what matters and not how many posts you've had. Because you are more experienced if you think you've been effective or helpful enough with your posts.

Hi! Finally reached one of your discussions.^_^ Wasnt able to respond to many discussions for a few weeks and that resulted in backlogs. I think the 'oldest' discussion that I had to respond to today was started 3 weeks ago.
In any case, I think that the number of posts are just that: a number. The higher the number doesnt mean that one is more experienced on here, though, there is a difference in knowing your way around and being a newbie. My reaching more than a thousand posts means that I dont have anymore "privileges", like star rating, codes, etc. to look forward to anymore. Just post and respond and take part in the discussions more than trying to get past a privilege.
Though, I can say that there is a difference when I started on here. I was eager at that time to always be on myLot and just respond until I type myself silly. Nowadays, I just post whenever I can and when I have the time.
Well, take care always and have a great weekend.^_^

I don't know about it. As for me, I feel more experienced and entusiastic during my 200th posting. heheheh. Now, I rarely login to MyLot since I've been busy in the real job.

There are some discussions that make us bored. And there are more exciting to discuss. It will depend on the mood we have for the day. As i have notice everyday has rolling of new discussions so I can select what is best for me on that day. It was easy to go on discussions if you feel inspired because more new ideas has come into our mind that help us to share. We can write as many discussion as we have. The flow of imaginations comes out quickly. But if we feel like boring oh my... I can't even move my finger into the tabs of my keyboard. My mind don't like to work and I feel sleepy. I cannot work unless there is one can wake my interest. And if that's happened, wow! great! I can write again and my mind grind like a rolling stone.
After joining for almost two months now, posting here makes me feel more confident in my daily life as it makes me happy. I was learned of any things here from our friends in different country and culture.

i think so..
every post means a new discussion, a new interaction a new experience.. so i think the number of posts means more experience than the number of years being in site. it's how active you are.. but then again,. being here and being very active, having more experience doesnt mean you are better than the new ones.. we are not competing here!

My goal was to reach 100 and you know what? It seems I just have to start the ring all over again. I have another goal now ... 200. It doesn't make me any more experienced than you. I just don't know when to stop and there isn't no set standard but just to post away. In the end it's all about what's going on around here and the tables just keep getting higher as new mylotters come in. You kind of repeat your answers in various directions. Well, have a good day!

I used to think that those in the hundreds and thousands are more experienced mylotters when I first started out. But now that I'm getting close to the 1000th mark, I wonder if that is really the case. There are times when there just aren't any discussion I would like to respond to, but there are times when I have tonnes to say. I guess it depends on the topics. It gets boring when there seems to lots of similar discussions started.

I am just close to 100 but I feel the same way as I was feeling when I did the first post. Maybe I am more comfortable with the forum rules. Concern my daily posts, there are days I do not know what to write. I hardly made just few posts and the quality is quite low. Then when I have more time and I am relaxed I can make also 20-30 posts a day which I think are fine. People are not robots, so it is natural that you are not in the writing mood every day. Or sometimes just people have not enough time or have something more important to do, so there is no time for myLotting. I think everyone here experienced this.

when we take part in a discussion, we get into the topic.... when we get a response to our post... we get a new experience... and we tend to take part in another discussion...

Ofcourse when you spend more time doing something you tend to get more experienced in that. That's nature's law. The content of your answer might be the question of ur creativity and that might change. But the way you answer, the topics you discuss, the way you approach things will definitely improve on the better side as you keep gaining your experience
Keep rocking dude

I would probably say absolutely! The thing is, the more you write the better you become as a writer! My Lot is the perfect place for this. There will of course be some discussions that you feel you cannot respond to and this is fine. I too get into phases here whereby I find it difficult to respond to most discussions. However, I keep on plodding on and I think that there will always be something for you to say whatever the discussion. I'm trying to think of a discussion to create and I'm struggling with this task! Anyway, it's nice to have the star rating system here. I guess this shows that you are improving generally. Andrew

Have only posted about 300 responses so don't feel like i'm too qualified to comment but do believe my understanding of mylot has improved the more I use it. The more you post the more friends you make and the more knowledge you can gain through other users discussions.

I'm not so sure about experienced but i would think that mylot would pay you more for actually giving that much time into this website. Besides i think getting paid more all depends on how many referrals you have which i still haven't figured out. I would think that the experience on the other hand would be that your full of knowledge on a lot of subjects and any input would be appreciated. I mean think about it, you've added your comment to a lot of things on this site. Probably a lot of different discussions that you've had experience on.

It probably depends on what type of answers do you give. I mean if it`s a simple plain one everytime, 1000 won`t really count, but if you really put some heart into it, i`m sure that you will achieve much more even with 10 posts.
