Is it right for a three n half yr. old to join some creative activity class?

One of my friend's daughter who is three n a half years old goes to school in the morning and after coming back at around 12:30 pm she goes back to another school from 2 to 4 pm. And then she has some music class also in the evening. How right is it to keep ur kid of this age engage in these many activities ? Pls reply to this because i have not put my son into any thing other than a nursery school in the morning till 12:30 pm. He comes back and eats his lunch and whole afternoon he is doing colouring , playing with his toys sometime watches cartoons and some times i make him sleep. And later in the evening i take him to park.
In today's times is it really important to put ur tiny baby in such pressures so that they can run in the race well in future without considering the sideeffects and injuries involved.

The poor child... I feel so sorry for her. But sometimes these classes are only given twice a week or so, in that case, it's not so pressurising for the children. Of course, there are some parents that want their children to attend every other class in town, and if their child cooperates and is interested, then I guess there is no harm. But forcing a child to go because the parents want to is too much for a small child to handle. Of course, there are exceptional children in this world who can grasp everything in a short period of time, but trying to make our children exceptionable just because we want them to be is not a good way of parenting.

No ...not at all at this age..i find todays children overburdened already with the type of studies they are having,then their HW, and again some extra studies that we have to make them do, as to get good marks, i have not sent my children to any extra activities till now, one is 6 and another9, i teach them Drawing Painting etc in summer vacation, they are sharp enough to catch everything what i teach them, giving more burden will make them weak in their regular studies also, this is what i think.
