I love to watch a cooking show in our local television channel and it's about 10 minute cooking wonder. The recipes are so good, yummy and easy to prepare. I love preparing foods for my family using their recipes and it really works. I can cook in less than 10 minutes.
Can you do that cooking wonder in 10 minutes?

If my microwave was working I could. But unfortunately it's on the blink. I really need at least 30 minutes to get a good full hot meal prepared. Water for pasta takes 5 minutes to boil. Rice take 20 minutes.
I guess if I had tortilla dough ready and used canned foods I could do it. My problem is I do everything from scratch.
Tortilla dough, pasta dough etc needs to sit awhile before rolling and cooking. Veggies need to be washed cut and then cooked. It all takes time.

it's always the preparation of the ingredients that takes a lot of time. But once you have prepared all these, cooking is easy.

I made baba ganoush yesterday for a party tomorrow. It took 45 minutes for the eggplant to bake. Then an hour to cool and about 15 minutes to do all the chopping and mixing.
I saved the skins and put them in the food processor along with carrots, rice and assorted veggie scraps for my dogs. I cook for my sick dog and there is no reason to throw healthy food away when she will eat it.

Cooking is fun. Preparing the ingredients take more time than the actual cooking.

Depends on what the ingredients are and what is the process of cooking, i am very fast at cooking, Indian food includes very lengthy procedure and very complicated ways of preparation, like we still dont use readymade pastes for ginger or garlic etc but still i cook for the whole family of 6 within 45 mins or so, it includes at least 3 recipes, one vegetables and chapati and rice also.So i tihnk if i see ur 10 min programme i will definitely be able to cook accordingly..

Mostof my meals take between 30 minutes to an hour to prepare. But if I know I'm going to be pressed for time I prepare a lot of things in advance. If I have done some pre-planning I can throw a 10 minute meal together.
Have a great day!

My recipes would make me spend more than an hour spent in the kitchen. But I think a 10 minutes meal is possible. Maybe a simple salad with its dressing can be done in 10 minutes. But I like to spend more time in the kitchen. We cannot rush perfection.

i also love to stay longer in the kitchen but with lots of responsibilities, I am always in hurry to finish things up.

it depends on what you're planning to cook. Don't expect to finish baking a cheese cake in 10 minutes! If you're looking for simpler stuff like scrambled egg, then i think it's not a problem. Most of the time, it would require 20 min or more for me to cook something nice and more complicated.

Baking foods take a lot of time yet eating them takes only a few minutes. LOL. . . Cooking egg is the easiest and fastest of all.

I can cook a nice tuna omelet in 10 minutes (including chopping and all!) but for more complicated meals it takes me about 20 minutes to an hour. When i have free time i chop onions and put them in a container in the refrigerator. I also have crushed garlic in a bottle. These cut down on my prep time :)

It really depends on what you're cooking. If for some instant meal, like noodles, dumpling,or sth like that,I can do it within 1o minutes coz it's a piece of cake.~if you're mentioning the dinner or the meal for family day,I would be very appreciate if someone who can do within 10 minutes tell me the method of doing the super meal`~`For me,I like cooking and will take all the cooking response in my family.lol``I need at least 1 hour to prepare the family day dinner and at least 30 mins to cook for daily dinner~Have a nice day`

Hi dorisday1971,
Wao, cook or prepare a meal in 10 minutes seems really hard for me... Unless I will cook the pasta. It is really easy for me...Boild a pot of water, put pasta into it, and cook for about 7 minutes. At the mean while prepare the pasta sauce. And the salad is super easy for me as well...hehe, just heat the chick chunk, put the vegetables into a bowl, and add the heated chicken, and add sauce into it.... I usually eat above two stuff for my lunch.
