Everyone knows mom's cooking is the best. We grow up hearing phrases like "It aint like mama cooked it", or "mama's homemade....this or that", "down home cookin", etc. but is Mom's food really the best or is it the thought of Mom making us food? The other day I brought some cookies to my husband from my mother's house and told him they were awesome. he had 2 and agreed, he had never had them before and said there was nothing like them in the world. Both of us we in love with this crispy outer, gooey inner, chocolate chip treat. The next day I went to my mother and told her I loved her cookies, to my suprise she told me " That is your recipe." Sure enough, a few years back I won a blue ribbon for the same recipe, i dont remember them tasting like that when I made them. Still, I think Id rather eat her food.

Its very true as well as much obvious to like the food prepared by our mothers as we grow up eating the food prepared by them. The most important factor in liking the mummy's recipe is her love and affection which is involved in making the food with the feeling that my children will like it. I remember that one day my father was out and there was no stock of spice at home, my mother prepared the food only with salt and turmeric powder and still the taste remained the same as always.
So, I would deliberately and effectively say that for every child in this world the recipe of the mother is best because the love, concern and care a mother has for a child (which comes in the food she prepares for the child)no body else in the world takes.

Mom and grandma, I think we grow up eating what they cook, so that is what is good to us. I remember Grandma fried chicken, and she made a dish for breakfast she called mush, it was cornmeal and meat I think, I loved it. Mom could cook pork chops the best. It is what we grew up with, and at times I set and wish that Grandma could just cook me one meal now, but she has been gone a long time. I try but I can't do it like Grandma.

Lol, I think most of us just think our mom's food tastes the best because we are so used to it. It took my husband a long time to like my cooking. But boy was my MIL mad when my husband told her that my lasagna is better than her priced one, lol.
