porcupines make good eating sez a lion?

I was watching an Animal Planet show and it actually showed a group of natives catching a porcupine. They dug it out of its hole. And then there was another one with lions who had actually gotten quite good at catching them without getting a face full of quills. It's kind of like another discussion I saw today about who the brave person was who first milked a cow. What person or animal would have been brave or stupid enough to look at a porcupine and say, "hey, I bet it tastes just like chicken?"
