I'm trying to buy a new tower box setup but I have a a hard time which dual core will I choose for my computer processor. Here in Philippines, the cheapest dual core with mid-range performance and value are Intel Dual Core E2180 2.0Ghz 1MB and AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ 2.6Ghz. I did my research and gone to many forums but I want to hear it from MyLot computer experts and gurus. It will help a lot in my decision making and it varies the rest of computer components that I am going to buy. Let's not go to single core, core2dou, and quad core. I wanna hear what you can say to this 2 processors.

Both are the best for any operation. Normally we don't need that much high speed processors. If you were budjetting you computer then look for something that saves some money. For normal day to day operations and gaming, we don't require these high speed procssors. Any way, AMD athlon 5000+ is good when it comes to performance and AMD was dual core 2.6 Ghz and Intel was Dual core 2.0 Ghz. I don't know about the price of the both.
