I dont really have a response as this topic just seems lifeless to me but I think I understand what you're asking. To live a life getting love VERSUS Living a life in love. Franckly i would rather live my life to recieve both instead of chooseing only one because living you're life to get love would mean that there are people around you which may have intimate feelings for you, even if you do not have those same feelings towards them, but still its a good feeling to "get" love and to know that there are people who view you in that way. On the other hand, It's also nice to live your life IN LOVE which I interprete as you and your partner both having mutual intimate feelings towards one another. you lover them and they love you, and that is a powerful thing.
