Do you fall asleep "the moment your head touches the pillow"?

I don't. Sometimes it takes me over an our to actually fall asleep. There were times before in which I used to be able to just fall asleep right away. Lately though, it takes so long for me to fall asleep. What about you? How long does it take you to fall asleep?

I am very fortunate to be able to sleep as soon as I go to bed but I think it is because I never sleep the night through. I still wake up at least once a night be either one of my kids wanting a drink or having to go to the bathroom or my husband walking into the wall (trying to get to bed without turning on a light so he doesn't wake me up!) or hearing one of my older kids coming home. I think it is just a moms curse that every little thing will wake you up in the middle of the night. I also get up very early and get to bed very late so the minute my head hits the pillow I am out.

Wow, you're exactly like my mom! It's the mom instinct LOL! My mom sleeps really early and she falls asleep right away. She wakes up several times too, when we get home really late, or my brother texts her or calls her, or to check on me (and scold me) if I'm still up and on the computer!

Hello mymelodake. When I was working, when my head touches the pillow, I immediately fall into a deep sleep, but now I rarely sleep immediately the moment my head touches the pillow. It usually takes me 30 minutes or 1 hour before I fall asleep.

There are some nights, when I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow. But there are some nights when it takes me longer to fall asleep. It depends on a lot of things, like the time I woke up, if I had a busy day or not, or something like that.

Hi Mymelodake, it would be nice to just fall asleep so easily. I can't - that's the reason why I read. It's sort of relaxing for me - I'd read until I feel sleepy.

nOoO... I dont. I start to think about things I did in the day, or things I have to do tomorrow and as the thoughts go around my mind, I sleep at lest 1 hour after I lay my head on the pillow. Once, I even stood up till 6 in the morning, just going from one side to another, I wasnt tired at all and, honestly, I dont know why... must have been something in the 3 cups of coffee I took before -just kidding!-. Happy MyLotting and have a nice day! Xp

I guess it really just depends on how tired I am. Sometimes it seems that I stay awake for hours. Other times, it's like I'm gone. I much prefer the 2nd. ;)

Oh no as soon as my head hits the pillow my mind seems to become active, I toss and turn and sometimes i get up and walk around or even come and post on Mylot, I envy people who fall asleep as soon as they make contact with their pillow...

Some time ago I did have the same problem as you mentioned .I stayed up too late ,playing or thinking about something .When going to bed ,there was still some excitement in mind ,so it was really hard to get asleep immediately.Later ,I tried to get up earlier ,and make my daylife full of affairs. When evening came ,I became a little tired. It was a little easier to go to dreams.
