Non-Traditional Thanksgiving Dinners

We have tried a few non-traditional Thanksgiving dinners from mexican to charlie brown/snoopy styles. I always get my pecan pie tho' Are you planning a traditional dinner this year for Thanksgiving? Do you have just one thing you make every year & then mix it up? I'd like to hear some idea's b/c I'd like to do non-traditional again but I'm no chef lol.

WE used to have ham but now I got me a smokers so it is smoled pork shoulder and turkey makes them so juicey to smoke them also put in corn on cob and sweet taters. Pumkin pie for sure!

OOOHH LKo I love smoked meats-I used to work @ a restaurant called bennett's smokehouse & saloon we served all the smoked meats pork shoulder,beef brisket,turkey,chicken & we also had the best ribs mmmmm now you're gonna have to fed ex me some of that pork & turkey cause my mouth is watering for thanksgiving to get here lol ((hugs))

I dunno LKo I remember this news story where this lady started her own business fedexn' her "gourmet" home cooked meals & now she's rich something to ponder... but you wouldn't charge me for some smoked pork & turkey right??lol ((hugs))

Yup, traditional all the way. Hubby loves when I do the traditional dinners. We had a few bad years when we didn't have enough to have a traditional dinner but if it's at all possible I do it...afterall it's only once a year. do you make giblet gravy? my Momma used to make that & everyone loved it (I didn't eat it tho') but that was one of her staples for Thanksgiving that & ambrosia (I didn't eat that either lol) +'s |:)
