my husband  | |  my husband is in the military for i think 18 years now. he graduated from the Philippine Military Academy (known as PMA in the Philippines). when i met him he is already a captain so no longer based on the field. im thankful enough because when i gave birth to our sons he is with me all the way. and after i gave birth to our only daughter, he is again there and i am very thankful for that. i know not all military wives have the same privilege as i had but still it's part of their duty. i have a fear of the bosses assigning my husband to Mindanao after his GSC but i guess that's how life is. we can't be pleased with what we like always, just reserve it after his retirement and i think that's the only time that we can call him ours. as long as he is the service, his priority is his job then family. i don't have any gripes with my husbands profession though there really comes a point in my life that i pity myself and envy my friends whose husbands are with them always.

Personnally I don't know if i have it in me for my husband to be an Army man. It would definately be an emotional rollercoaster. I don't know if i could handle it or not. I do however, give props to those who can, you are handling it much better than I would be able to.
It definately takes a strong woman to be able to do what you do, and that is very respectful. It has to be a heavy toll on your shoulders as it would any woman who has an Army man. Keep your head up your doing great. He'll come home and your family will be back together again. Please keep us informed on how he is doing, I wish you and your family the best.

 despompa (366) | 1 year ago | you're right in saying that being an army wife is like having a heavy toll on my shoulders. i am also standing as a father to my kids specially when my husband is away. glad that my kids are still young and they are not yet having problems on girls and courting because they will definitely need their dad on that since he is the experienced one with regards to that. thanks for putting some of your time in my discussion. | |
