How do you feel when a stranger dies?

Everyday, more than a thousand people die in the world. But not all of them are known by the world. the ones you do hear about, even if you didn't know them. Do you feel sad for them? or wouldn't you even care. I'm 18 and whenever i hear about someone as young as 12 die, i just feel sad because they didn't live as long as i had and experience what i did. and the ones who are 30+ makes me sad too because they didn't get to have children or see their own grow.
