~birthdays!~

Hi MyLotters!
Thought I'd share my thoughts on B-Days...
Today is my birthday and I am 56...Yesterday I was thinking...Oh my God I will be the big 56 tomorrow and all I can think about is death:-(
I have such a wonderful relationship with both my daughters, I am soooooooooo blessed, and they are so close to me, we share everything...they look up to me and respect my opinions and we can agree to dissagree...But...What is going to be of them when I'm gone...Oh my God...they are 33 and 18 and both show their love for me each and every single day...I know it is inevitable...we all must leave this world, I want them to accept this and be at peace with it...but will they be?
I pray that they will be able to be.
I must share with myLotters the two most beautiful cards I received this morning at 7 AM with an oldie cd, Soul Sisters, which has the song, Going to the Chapple by the Dixie Cups...you older myLotters will remember this one! And a beautiful 2009 giant calendar dipicting doggies and kiddies and God's words...absolutely beautiful. Oh yeah, can't forget my Dunkin Donuts coffee!! Love it!
An excerpt from the card from my oldest: "Mom, you're so perceptive and you know me perfectly, I guess that's why, no matter what, you're always there for me. If I'm facing change and challenges, you know just what to say. And with your warmth and empathy, you help me find my way...You share your strength and wisdom, you listen and relate, and you're just as thrilled as I am when my life is going great. So on hyour day I thank you for being so in touch, You're kindness makes a difference and I lovey you very much" Yes, yes, it's a tearjerker!!
From my youngest: "Mom, Have I told you lately? Have I told you lately how much you mean to me? Have I told you how much I appreciate everything you've done for me through the years? Have I told you how much I look forward to seeing you or how much I value your advice and wisdom? Have I told you lately how much I love you? If not, let me tell you today--I love you Mom, with all my heart. Happy Birthday...and she wrote: I love you! 56 and still got it going on:-)
