As we see on House MD, they sometimes have to go into the patient(s)'s house in order to get to know the cause of the disease. Just out of curiosity, do doctors really go to that extent that they visit houses to investigate on a disease? And isn't that B&E (breaking and entering)?

They do seem to be quite thorough when it comes to investigating diseases. I don't think anybody else ever does that. Tv is wonderful, fictional but great!.

It is considered b and e, and honestly in some cases i would not but it past doctors to do it to help find out a cause of a persons illness. The idea in the show had to come from some where, ya know.

I do believe that it would breaking and entering. As far as I'm concerned it is in Canada. Now, my dad teaches medicine at a university and I doubt that he knows any doctor who would go to this extent simply to come up with a diagnostic. In my opinion, it's unethical.

I forgot to add.
Dr. Gregory is not really a doctor he's actually a dandy from London with a very intelligent butler. Check out Jeeves and Wooster.

Without the patient's knowledge it's definitely breaking and entering, however it's a TV show and that's part of House's character.
I love the show, the writing and acting is excellent.
