Well, its nothing you haven't heard before, but is John McCain really too old to be president? What is the best age range for our president? Would it depend on the person, or should there be a cut-off limit for age? You must be at least 35 to be president so should there also be an age at which you can no longer run for the office?

I think it should truely depend on the person and not on the age. There are a lot of active old people out there that can do the same things that they were able to do while younger. So to answer your question on whether or no there should be an age cut off for the presidency. No there shouldn't, that would be discrimination against age. Right?

Well, yes, but the argument could be made that there are many mature, responsable citizens under 35 that would be qualified as well and isn't that age desrimination? That argument could be made, but not by me. I agree with you. :)

I would have to agree with you on that too about people being younger than 35 who are mature enough to be president. So I don't know the reason for being 35 either really. Maybe some experience as well, I don't know.

I do not think he too old and I really hate the way America treats older people and I think it wrong. My grandfather ran a farm until 85 their was nothing wrong with that. I don't think America should force anyone that still is in good health and mind to retire if they don't want too. Here the kicker if someone is 25 who is mature and would be good for country why can't they run ? I really think that we judge people on age either way wrong.

If I agreed with his views, I would be all for him, but I'm not. I don't think age would be a deal breaker, to me. Also, he's 71, right? I've heard that there have been presidents older than him, just not in the first term. But you know what, being president is stressful, I would think a young mind and body would be able to handle it better. Plus, if he gets Alzheimer's, or just kicks the bucket, then Palin is up at bat, and that is my worst nightmare.
