What about you? What is your biggest obstacle in life right now? I'm not giving any suggestions, this is your thing, your gripe! I think I told everything throughout Mylot, but right now it's money! That's all Ineed at this moment, the rest is after I get it, Taripre$

Sorry that day when i responded to your discussion, I was in a bit of rush so I did not manage to finish my response. This is actually what I wanted to say: Seems like everybody is having trouble with their cashflow and finances in this economic downturn! Money is always on the minds of everybody, be it an economic upturn or an economic downturn. We could never escape from the clutches of this. For me, the biggest obstacle in my life right now is having a clear direction of where I want to go to in the future and what I want to do with my life at the moment. I am at a point of crossroad that makes every choice I make right now affects my future. The confusion of what i want to do, where I want to go or who I even am is bogging me down for months. The biggest obstacle is myself, and I need to make a decision soon. The next obstacle for me is money. Money is never enough for me previously, and what more now that Singapore is in recession. It's even more not enough. My spending power has been decreased drastically and my debts are mounting to the extent that I do not know how to get out of it. But, I am looking forward to my year end bonus so that I could clear off my debts once and for all and start everything anew. That's for me. Well, take care and happy mylotting!!

Yeah, I agree with you. For me myself, after having worked for 6 years, I am embarrassed to say that I am one of those who have nothing to show for.. no assets, no savings.. except piles of debts to clear. It makes me wonder sometimes when times are good, I managed to scrape by.. now that times are bad.. how am I going to survive? Is there something wrong that I am doing somewhere? Recession might be good for us generation who have never experienced any real hardships before. At least, it will wake us up and make us realise the difficulty of earning money and therefore would then treasure our own hard earned money. That's about it, and it's a painful lesson to learn I must say. Well thanks for the best response! Take care and happy mylotting!

Yep, hard times Sweetie! We're all in a depression, recession, it's all depressing and messed up! Yourself as an obstacle, that's good, like that! We're all against the wall right now. People have been comfortable for years, then nothing to show for it after the economy hit bottom! It makes us second guess rselves, who we are, are we capable of taking care of our business! It's just sad; but that's when we lace up r shoes and just get to it! Taripre$

Yeah, u deserve it, if I can give 2 u'd get another best response! Yep, the world is wasteful, and we mainly suck at managing money! Not just us, cause we're not the ultimate base of the problem! It's those damn executive and corporate thieves with their greedy behinds! If they could've kept their hands out of the cookie jar, we wouldn't be as bad! But hey, now we can just come better! Money is a necessity for us in order to live. Money is part of my obstacle but right now, my biggest obstacle is being far to my husband. We've been married for two months and right now we are still million miles away. I have been praying and hoping that we will be together sooner but I know it's impossible because we still have to face the immigration and the funds needed in order for me to go with him.

We get this in common. My obstacle is monney as well. SO i have to go through school and graduate to have a decent job. i still have 2 years and a half to go. On top of that, I am just getting myself in debt with all the school's loan. It's such a scary though. My mom doesn't have a good salary so all she can do is to pay for the basic needs like the bus pass and everything. Not to mention that the living is now expensive. But I am very thankful that my mom is supporting me all this time and my bf as well who pays me lunches :P I just hope to finish this quick and get out of this msiery so everyone i care about would live in comfort.

Yeah it's wild out here! Unfortunately we don't have the luxury of sports scholarships and gifted athletic ability, or things would be a breeze right? What we do have is drive and ambition! Though it sucks out here, there's still plenty of money to go get, so lets get it! Taripre$

Yes money is definitely a great obstacle. In the next few years I'll need a lot of money to graduate the university so i guess I'll really have to work hard. Unfortunately, the economical situation in my country is getting worse so it's getting harder and harder to earn money

From what I understand, the economy is in the toilet worldwide! Jobs are about nonexistent, money is scarce. So as a whole, we're all about in the same position! Taripre$

my greatest obstacle is money of course! it's come to a point when i have to start over again in my life. i'm moving back to my hometown with my family. i've turned away from my work and business and home in the city. life in the city wasn't healthy for my little daughters 4 and 2 years old. and it's too costly, unlike in our place in the province which is a coastal town. we can go to the beach as much as we want, enjoy nature, not have to drive far to get to the next mall. it has everything we need but with lower cost of living. but as i've said, money is a great obstacle. i may have to start over, look for for a new home, start a business, look for a new job. i don't know yet but this new start may be well worth it.

Money issue is definitely one of the most stressful part of life. For me right now is getting my mind disciplined to get through my uni courses and get my degree. And probably find work experience.

School is important and finding what fields are stable is also as important it seems! with things the way they are, I think people would have to shift to something more practical til the economy turns upward! Just my opinion Taripre$

Right now, I am trying to get my grad school applications filled out since the one for the first school has to be postmarked by December 1. I need three recommendations and only have two, I need 45 pages of prose, I have.... 5-ish. I need about $150 for application fees, I have none LOL *sigh* So, that's my biggest obstacle right now.... After I get in, money for tuition will become a concern.
