What was your favourite fairytale when growing up? Did your parents read them to you or someone else? You loved reading them yourself?Mine is still cinderella of course lol, but I loved them all. I had a few books and read them all the time. I remeber I loved watching those beautiful pictures and imagine I was one of the character. When i was still too young to read I had about 10 radio cassettes with the fairytales on them...I listen to those for hours. I dont remember though that my parents would read them to me,or anyone else for that matter.

I still read today the fairytales of Hans Christian Anderson. We have a book of all the fairytales published by Reader's Digest. We get lessons of life from these stories.

They don't really come under the genre of fairytales but when I was a child my favourite stories were the ones by Beatrix Potter. I had a set of around 10 or so books such as Peter Rabbit, Mrs Tiggywinkle and Jemima Puddleduck etc and my Mother used to read them to me. I believe they are all still very popular today which is great to see!

hi! when i was growing up. i really love to read. i love all the fairytale stories. but i guess my favorite ever is the beauty and the beast. i was touched by their story because it shows a side of our human nature wherein we dont look into peoples physical attributes but instead we see the inside. and no matter how evil the person is, we still see this goodness in them. this is what we need today, because problems are arising from all corners of this earth and many have become wary and become watchful of their neighbors, and trust has been like a thing of the past. because of the news that we are recieving everyday, like children being raped by their father, or someone walking down the road and was stabbed out of nowhere. with this worries, who can blame our society's thinking today. But from the story "beauty and the beast" i think we can get a lesson here. sometimes we must overlook an ugly face to see the treasure inside. we must not be blinded by the negative things that we see but instead we must dwell in the positive side of life. Anyway, having faith and trust in the Lord gives us peace and worryfree days. Take care!
