What time do you put your Turkey in the oven for Thanksgivine.?What temperature?

Thanksgiving is just around the corner - For those of us who celebrate Thanksgiving ..it is quite a task to buy the turkey, choose the side dishes and get the house clean before relatives come over

Ours always goes in around 8 am and stays in for what seems forever. My mom always handles that so I am not certain of the details but I think the temperature is generally around 425 degrees F

I think 425 is a little high..don't you think..but if that is what you cook it at ..maybe yours gets done a little faster ..+

I usually put it on whatever temp the turkey packageing requires. I usually put it in the oven around 5am to make sure it will be done before the football game starts. I may let my husband do it this year, not sure yet. I told everyone I would like to have the day off, so they can cook for me ~ time will tell if that will actually happen or not lol.

I have never cooked on, my MIL always cooks it. I honestly don't know. I usually deal with side dishes, not the main course. I do know how to cook a ham though, if you decide you want one of those. Have you ever tried frying a turkey? It's wonderful.
