I am a big fan of Tom Hanks and it is hard to choose which is the best one.

I think so. I really love this movie and have watched it numerous times and I can watch again tomorrow. It was beautiful in it's simplicity. I laughed, I cried, I felt like I knew Forrest, like he was my friend and that I went through everything with him. That takes acting talent most actors cannot achieve.
I really liked Tom Hanks in Castaway too. I thought it would be boring, I mean, come on, one guy on an island? My husband rented it and I'm glad he did because this was another exemplary acting job. But Forrest is still my favorite.
